Welcome to the Teton Valley Land Use Code Website!
Teton County and the cities of Driggs and Victor are jointly engaged in the preparation of a new Land Use Code for Teton Valley. This effort launched in late 2012 with the help of code consultant, Code Studio, and funding by a Sustainable Communities Regional Planning Grant from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (see www.sustainableyellowstone.org for more information).
In 2013 the community participated in Design Workshops, charettes, and open houses which resulted in mapped character areas for our downtowns and a draft Land Use Code for the cities. During 2014 the draft Code was discussed at open houses, marked-up by P&Z Commissions, expanded to include "Drictor," and ultimately tailored to our community's needs and desires.
More housing options, more land use options, and a code that is user-friendly with images is the result. Now, in 2015 we have a revised draft that is ready for your input.
This website is your one-stop shop to read and comment on the Codes and Zones for the cities of Victor, Driggs, and Teton County.
Updated Code chapters, Staff Reports, and meeting notices will all be posted here, so check back often.
